XY-5A is a kind of deep-hole core drill rig, with complete functions and stable performance. It can be used to not only the large/small-diameter core drilling with diamond or alloy bits, but also the engineering geological exploration and engineering construction in such fields as building construction, hydropower projects, highway/railway and ports construction, etc. It has reasonable structure, light weight and great capacity as well as standardized design and high generalization. The outline of this drill is shown in Drawing 1.  
Features:

1. The drill rig adopts vehicle transmission case and clutch, with simple structure and rational layout. It runs stably, with lower noise and high transmission efficiency, and is easy to dismount and assemble.  
2. Adopts the vehicle-used flexible shaft gear-shifting device, realizing the remote control to transmission case, with higher humanization operation.
3. It has a rational speed range, more speed grades, big low-speed torque and a wide application range.
4. The drill rig is equipped with a water brake device, which is convenient for deep-hole drilling and is safe and smooth to perform drill tools lowering.
5. It has two gears of reverse speeds, which is convenient to deal with the accident in the hole and ensure safe operation.
6. Larger power.
7. Advanced structure and rational layout, convenient for maintenance and serving.
8. The upper frame is composed of two parts; it is small in volume, light in weight, and easy to be disassembled and moved.
9. Has long feeding travel of vertical shaft, which is beneficial to improve drilling efficiency and reduce the probabilities of bit-jam and bit-burnt accidents.
10. The machine can be moved steadily and fixed firmly, with a good stability during the high-speed drilling.
11. It is equipped with a few operating handles, with the rational layout and flexible and reliable operation.
12. Two chucks are equipped. The upper one adopts the hydraulic plunger chuck, with reliable clamping operation and free from damaging the drive pipe; the lower chuck adopts the arc-shaped model, which has the powerful ability for clamping drilling tools.
